School Uniform
Dear Parents,
School Uniform plays a key role in fostering a sense of pride and belonging within the school community. These factors contribute to pupil wellbeing, removing the additional pressure of deciding what to wear and the added stress of meeting the expectations of their peers.
Today I talked to all children in Primary 1 -7 about the importance of our school uniform. I have asked all children to wear their proper school uniform; this includes the navy round neck sweatshirt with school logo, red polo shirt with logo and boys wear navy trousers, girls wear a navy skirt. This is accompanied with navy tights/ socks and black shoes. In the Summer girls may wear a blue/white gingham dress with white socks.
For PE uniform pupils in Primary 1-3 wear their red school polo shirt with logo along with navy joggers or shorts and gym shoes. Pupils in Primary 4-7 wear a white polo shirt with a collar and navy joggers or shorts and gym shoes. Leggings, cycling shorts and hot pants are not part of our PE uniform.
Navy shorts are not part of the school uniform, however about a month ago I did tell children they could wear them; they must NOT be cycling shorts or hot pants. I am happy for children to continue wearing navy shorts until the end of June. Navy shorts should not be worn when a special event is taking place e.g. Leavers Service.
I am NOT asking parents to go out and buy uniform for the last fortnight of the school calendar. If, for example, your child has grown out of their black shoes, just let the class teacher know.
Kind regards,
F Pryce

Grounds closed today
Thank you to everyone who has donated food supplies for our Fun Run. Any remaining donations can be dropped off this morning.
Once the children are in this morning our gates/grounds will be closed for the remainder of today. No cars will have access for pick up times. This will allow preparation and set up for our event. We thank you for your undersatnding.
Roadworks beginning Thurs 19th June
From Thursday 19th June DfI will begin improvement works on our school entrance. This work will take at least a week to complete and is very much welcomed but during this time there will be some disruption and safety concerns at drop off and collection times.
The majority of work will be carried out on the top right hand side of our entrance (town side) therefore access to the footpath is limited and anyone entering the grounds on foot will be expected to use the road and also cross the school entrance to continue down into the school grounds.
We would encourage parents to drop off and collect children in the grounds but if your child must walk we will endeavour to cross them over between 8.50-9.10am and 3.05pm. Drivers please be extra vigilant if entering the grounds.
We apologise for any inconvenience caused during this time.
Thank you.
