United Youth Initiative Programme - P6/7 Pupils
Dear Parent/Guardian,
We are delighted to let you know that your child has the opportunity to take part in an exciting new programme through Healthy Kidz called the United Youth Initiative. This project brings together young people from different community backgrounds through a range of engaging activities, including:
- Sports sessions designed to encourage teamwork, confidence, and fitness.
- Good relations activities helping pupils to build friendships and mutual understanding.
- Environmental aspects that promote care for our local surroundings.
The programme will run as part of an afterschool Shared Education slot, bringing together P6/7 Participants for schools in the area. Sessions will take place every Friday afternoon from 3pm–5pm, beginning on Friday 16th January and continuing for 12 weeks at Fivemiletown College, with a trip included at the end of 12 weeks! There will be NO sessions on Friday 13th February, Friday 3rd & 10th April due to School Holidays.
Facilitators will collect children from school and walk to the venue. At the end of each session, we kindly ask parents/guardians to collect their child from Fivemiletown College at 5pm.
We are pleased to confirm that the programme is completely free of charge and is open exclusively to P6/7 pupils.
We believe this is a fantastic opportunity for your young person/s to make new friends, develop skills, and enjoy fun, meaningful activities in a safe and supportive environment.

Royal School Dungannon P6 Open Evening
This is just a short note to let you know that Royal School Dungannon (RSD) will be running an Open Evening for Primary 6 pupils on Tuesday 3rd February , 7.00pm – 9.30 pm.
Please note that the event is for P6 pupils and parents only. Parents can book a place using the link below. Parents only need to book one place.

Dear Parent/Guardian,
Thank you for registering your child for the United Youth Initiative Programme. This is a very new and exciting programme bringing together participants from different communities to partake in different sporting, good relations and environmental awareness activities. We are excited to let you know that the programme will begin on Friday 16th January.
Here are the key details:
- Transport & Collection:
Participants will be collected from their school in the afternoon and brought to Fivemiletown College.
There will be a bus to pick up and return participants from Augher and Clogher Primary schools. We are hoping to return back to following schools at these approx times; -
St Macartan's Clogher; 4.55pm
Carntall PS; 5pm
Augher Central; 5.05pm
If your child attends the above schools and you would like to collect your child at Fivemiletown College at the end of the sessions instead, please respond to this email with their NAME and SCHOOL.
For Fivemiletown participants, they will be collected from their school and walked down by our Facilitators to Fivemiletown College for the programme. Parents/Guardians should collect their child at Fivemiletown College Main entrance at 4.45pm.      - Schedule:
The programme will run every Friday for 12 weeks.
Please note there will be no session on Friday 13th (Mid Term), 3rd April & 10th April (Easter Break). - Final Session:
The programme will conclude on Friday 24th April with a trip. Further details about this trip will be shared closer to the time.

Transfer Process to Post-Primary - P6 Parents
ADVICE ON THE POST-PRIMARY TRANSFER PROCESS FOR PARENTS OF CHILDREN IN P6
As has been the practice over the last number of years the Department of Education has produced a document providing advice to parents of children in P6 on the post-primary transfer process. The purpose of this document is to ensure that parents receive timely information about the range of issues they need to take into account when making important decisions about the next stage in their child’s education.
