Primary 6 had great fun this week working on their pumpkins. They first of all cleaned them out in the hall with the help of some parent volunteers and then moved into the classroom to carve their own design. They then invited all the other classes to visit them during the week and some of their pumpkins were used to decorate the hall for the Harvest Assemblies.
Primary 6 had a very enjoyable day trip to Navan Centre, Armagh for their Vikings & Monks programme. The children participated in a wide range of activities including meeting a 'real' Viking called Vilk and practising their handwriting in the Viking runic alphabet using a quill feather with ink. This has helped to deepen our understanding of our current World Around Us topic.
Primary 6 enjoyed observing Nature in our school grounds as part of their learning about the Creation Story in R.E. They recorded what they discovered through the medium of art.
