Forest Schools

Our school is participating in the NIFSA programme. Our school aims to nuture healthy, resilient, motivated and creative young adults. We want our children to gain a daily outdoor experience which connects them with nature. We want our children to appreciate the outdoors and natural environments; developing a sense of becoming environmentally conscious. Through connecting with nature our children will have improved mental health and well-being and an increased awareness of their self-development. Through participation of the NIFSA programme children will develop self-regulation skills and build resilience through taking a risk, coping with failure as well as learning from failure. Their problem solving skills will have developed as well as their sense of achievement and increased concentration.
